Ignore the picture of Big Ben, I took it just because I felt obligated to.
But the video of the prayers is very interesting. Sorry about the quality, i was hold my camera at my side trying to be discrete, i'm not sure what they would have said if i just played tourist and started filming them praying. The have loud speakers going on all the time of some guy reciting prayers and chants in arabic. In the ghetto areas it echos along the buildings for several blocks. The first night I arrived in Alexandria I told the guy at the Airport (very small) that I didnt have hotel reservations. He said, "No problem, how many stars do you want? 5 stars, 4 stars?"
--"1 star."
He stared back at me as if I was just joking, then he saw i was serious, his smile disappered and he started thinking of where he should send me.
We drove through the nice parts, the touristy parts, then drove on and on through ghetto after ghetto. I began to realize that maybe i had made a mistake in requesting a 1 star hotel. We finally pulled up to a building that looked abandoned. I could go on all day about the "hotel", but lets just say that the 3 bunkbed dorm that I shared with homeless men in SF was much cleaner than this place.

i enjoyed the continuous shot of your finger...the people praying was cool too:)
